From the nicest white-picket-fenced homes in Duluth’s
Central Hillside comes the town’s friendliest hard-rocking
blues band, the Four-eyed Snakes.
Led by “Chickenheart George” Alan
Sparhawk, the band is known for playing the blues in a frenzied
and distorted manner, but not so much as to hurt anyone’s
ears or induce the kind of overly free-spirited dancing that
might result in injury.
"Funhouse" Bobby Olson provides the
bands heavy guitar grooves, backed by percussionists “Spazzin’”
Brad Nelson and Justin “The Gentle Doctor” Sparhawk.
They are sometimes confused with a band called
the Black-eyed Snakes, but this mild-mannered quartet's disposition
stands in stark contrast.
