Midwest nerds, or nerds at heart, united at an adult "Geek Prom" in Duluth, Minnesota, this weekend.

Organizers said it was an opportunity for people who were too geeky to attend their high school prom to finally be accepted.

And for those who were too cool to properly enjoy their prom, it was a chance to finally let their inner-geek out.

The event included the naming of a king and queen and a dancing contest for geek and spaz.

This wasn't the first time this kind of prom took place. The first Geek Prom was in 2002.
